This latest Prestashop update brings a host of new features, which we’re going to discover together!
Improved inventory management
Inventory management is crucial for retailers, but it’s also time-consuming and has a major impact on your business.
To make inventory management easier, Prestashop now includes several useful features:
- Configuration of low-stock alerts on the product page (prevents stock-outs).
It can be set by default or by product (by modifying individual products or variables).
This new feature allows you to be alerted when a product’s stock falls below a defined level.
You’ll receive an email notification and/or alert as soon as one of your products approaches out-of-stock status. - Modification of batch quantities: simply select your products, indicate the quantity to be added to stock and validate Import/export from stock page (Excel or CSV): information displayed on the “Stock management” page can now be imported or exported in CSV format.
- Set default delivery times and display them for customers: European regulations require retailers to display delivery times on their product pages.
These can now be configured by default or individually.
Delivery times can be set for: in-stock products, out-of-stock products and products being restocked.
The availability label can also be configured and displayed.
New demonstration products
They include virtual products (vectorized illustrations) and a new customizable product for even more impressive demonstrations.
Supports right-to-left entries
Prestashop is now able to support formats and behaviors that read right-to-left scripts such as Hebrew, Arabic or Persian.
This means you’ll be able to develop your business worldwide.
Technical improvements
- Continuation of the migration to Symphony 3.4 of three new pages: module catalog, performance and system information.
- UI Kit: modernizes and harmonizes Prestashop interfaces (back-office and modules).
